Published by Jules Chevrel, it brings together Paul Verlaine’s three major erotic collections, preceded by a foreword signed “a verlaine bibliophile” and ends with the “Sonnet du trou du cul“ by Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine.
It is illustrated with 15 non-text engravings by Belgian cartoonist Martin Van Maele, a former student of Félicien Rops, who took the pseudonym Van Troizem.
